Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Dynaryx collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the Dynaryx simulation platform.

Who we are

Dynaryx provides cloud-based engineering simulation covering FEA, CFD and thermal analysis, together with automated engineering reports and fabrication drawings. For the purposes of data protection law, Dynaryx is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@dynaryx.com.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you give us: name, work email address, company, job role, industry and anything else you enter into our contact, waitlist or demo-booking forms.
  • Account information: credentials and billing details if you hold a paid subscription. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Uploaded content: CAD files, geometry, material definitions, load cases, prompts and the simulation results generated from them.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, simulation run counts, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.
  • Support and correspondence: messages you send us and our replies.

Your CAD files and simulation data

We treat uploaded engineering content as confidential. It is processed to run the simulations you request, to generate your reports and drawings, and to provide support when you ask for it.

We do not sell your engineering content, and we do not use it to train machine learning models for other customers unless you have given us separate, explicit written permission to do so. Where we need to analyse aggregate platform behaviour, we use metadata such as file size, element counts and solver runtimes rather than the geometry itself.

How we use your information

  • To provide, operate and secure the platform and run the analyses you request.
  • To create and administer your account and process payments.
  • To respond to enquiries, demo requests and support tickets.
  • To send service messages about availability, security and material changes to this policy.
  • To send product updates and marketing where you have opted in, or where we are otherwise permitted to; you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • To improve reliability and performance, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

Legal bases for processing

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the platform to you); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the service, and business-to-business communications); your consent (marketing email and non-essential cookies); and compliance with legal obligations (tax, accounting and lawful requests).

Sharing and disclosure

We share personal information only with service providers acting on our instructions, covering cloud hosting and GPU compute, payment processing, scheduling, email delivery, analytics and customer support tooling. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law or valid legal process, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses together with any additional safeguards the transfer requires.

Data retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for the period afterwards required by tax and accounting law. Uploaded engineering content and its results are retained while your account is active and deleted from live systems within 30 days of account closure or of a deletion request, with backup copies expiring on our standard backup cycle. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, network segregation, logging and least-privilege administrative access to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and any relevant regulator as the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@dynaryx.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, and we will respond within the time limits the applicable law sets.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site and keep sessions secure, and, with your consent where required, analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Our demo scheduling is embedded from a third-party provider that may set its own cookies when you interact with it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the platform from working.

Children

Dynaryx is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform develops. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects you, notify you directly.
